Trump says US military ops ensure safe passage of 100 million barrels of oil through Hormuz

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday revealed a “secret mission” by the American military to support oil tankers and other commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. He said the efforts resulted in more than 100 million barrels of oil passing through the main waterway via more than 200 ships.

He also claimed that the US controls the Strait of Hormuz, “not Iran”.

“Last month I instructed our Grand U.S. Military to conduct a covert mission to support Oil Tankers and other Merchant Ships across the Strait of Hormuz,” he said in a post on Truth Social. “Today, I am pleased to announce that this effort has resulted in over 100 MILLION BARRES of Oil reaching the Open Market from Straight.”
“More than 200 Merchant Ships passed safely through the Bosphorus. The reason for this highly successful effort is that the Strait of Hormuz is controlled by the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, NOT Iran. Their military was defeated and their economy was lost. It is over for Iran!” he added.
