Trump watches LIV Golf tournament at his own course in Sterling, Virginia

President Donald Trump is attending his second golf tournament in as many weeks, both at courses he owns.

A week after catching the PGA Tour event at the Doral course in South Florida, Trump motorcaded to the Washington D.C. Trump National Golf Course in Sterling, Virginia, to watch LIV golfers.

Trump arrived by golf cart to the presidential suite, where his son Eric was sitting with a member of the Public Investment Fund, with whom the president shook hands.

While uncertainty remains about LIV Golf after the league announced the Saudis would no longer fund golf after this season, Trump said last week that having LIV golfers back on the PGA Tour would be beneficial to the sport.

“I believe all golfers should be playing against each other,” Trump told reporters. “They used to see something as a monopoly, but that’s going away. It should be the opposite of a monopoly.” Oval Office last Thursday.

Trump has attended LIV events at his courses in the past. This is one of two LIV events being held at the Trump course this year as they will be heading to Bedminster, New Jersey in August.

Last week’s Cadillac Championship, won by Cameron Young, was the first time in a decade that the PGA Tour was at one of Trump’s courses.

Trump also attended the first day of the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in New York last year.
