TSB closing 11 branches in the UK in 2025 – full list | UK | News

TSB Bank has closed a number of branches across the UK in 2025, reflecting its continued move away from traditional high street banking. The closures affect towns and cities including Amble, Aylsham, Banff, Bedlington, Bude, Crook, Flint, Frome, Sheerness, Tenbury Wells, Whitchurch and Peckham in London, where the Rye Lane branch has also moved.

TSB customers affected by the closures are encouraged to use nearby branches or take advantage of the bank’s digital and phone banking services. The bank has reassured customers that accounts, direct debits and standing orders will not be affected, and staff have been offered support during the transition.

The closures are part of a wider trend in Britain’s banking sector. Many high street banks are reducing their physical presence as more customers switch to online and mobile banking, a shift accelerated by the pandemic. TSB said the decision was driven by the need to adapt to changing customer behavior while ensuring banking services remain accessible and sustainable in the long term.

“We remain committed to providing a face-to-face service through a nationwide branch network and over 90% of our customers are within a 20-minute drive of the nearest branch or Money Trust Specialist location. To ensure our branch services reflect the current and future needs of our customers, we want to keep our most used locations open. However, this does sometimes mean we have to close some locations,” TSB says on its website.

TSB continues to invest in digital services and encourages customers to explore online options such as mobile apps and web banking as a safe and convenient alternative to visiting a branch.
