Tuberville blasts Bad Bunny, ‘woke’ NFL for Super Bowl halftime show

Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., went to the Super Bowl last year, but this year may not be a shot for the SEC championship-winning football coach.
The former Auburn football coach didn’t publicly say he wouldn’t watch the game, but he did say Bad Bunny’s halftime show was banned.
“Unfortunately we have, I call it the Woke Bowl, because we’re getting more and more woke,” Tuberville told Newsmax in a recent interview.

“And there’s Bad Bunny or Bad Rabbit at halftime. I’ll watch the (Turning Point USA) halftime show. It’s really unfortunate that we’ve gotten to this point.”
Tuberville’s apparent protest came just days after President Donald Trump announced he would not be at the big game.
“It’s a long way away,” Trump said of the game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. “I would, I would [gotten] great hands [at] Super Bowl. They like me.”
Bad Bunny’s approval to do the halftime show was even criticized by Trump.

“I don’t know who he is,” Trump told Newsmax last fall about his pick. “I don’t know why they’re doing this. It’s crazy. Then they blame it on some promoters they hired for the entertainment. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.”
Bad Bunny said he decided to hold his residency program here last fall. hometown: Puerto Rico and did not schedule US dates on his tour for fear that fans would be detained by ICE agents.
Green Day will play before kickoff – with frontman Billie Joe Armstrong also criticizing the president. He has compared Trump to Hitler in the past, and according to The Independent , the band frequently turns the line “I’m not part of an ignorant agenda” into “I’m not part of a MAGA agenda” from their 2004 hit “American Idiot.”
