Revanth May Table KLIS, PPA Probe Report In Assembly

Haydarabad: In two reports submitted by the judicial commissions allegedly claiming irregularities in the execution of Kaleshwaram Project and Power Purchasing Agreements (PPA), two reports are preparing to decide the future action process. Official sources said that the decisions on the issue will be taken before the upcoming monsoon session of the legislative council expected to begin in the third week of August.
The Justice PC Ghose Commission, which submitted its report on Thursday, and the Justice Lokur Commission, which delivered its findings in October 2024, was established to investigate suspicious irregularities in the projects carried out by the Congress Government under the previous BRS regime.
Sources are likely to be submitted and discussed at the expected cabinet meeting on August 12, and probably announced that the expected legislative parliamentary session will be paid during the third week of August.
Although it was presented almost nine months ago, the report of the Justice Lokur Commission has not yet been announced to the public and has not been discussed at any cabinet meeting.
Prime Minister A. Revanth Redy, according to sources, expects both reports to be finalized before submitting to the cabinet for discussion and approval. It plans to make a comprehensive discussion about its reports on both the Assembly and the Council and to put reports on the table that aims to receive feedback from all parties in the following steps.
After the reports have been announced to the public, both commissions are expected to increase political temperatures because former Prime Minister and BRS President K. Chandrashekar Rao pointed to their fingers.
The statements from the key authorities in the power and irrigation departments called by the commissions stated that most of the controversial decisions on the Kaleshwaram project and PPAs were given directly by Chandrashekar RAO’s order.
These officials said that they had only watched the orders from the Prime Minister at the time, and that Kaleshwaram had no significant role in decision -making processes on the signing of the project designs or the signing of the PPAs with the Chhattisgarh government.
The Congress government faced increasing criticisms in order not to take concrete action despite being in power for 20 months. Against those allegedly responsible for irregularities during the BRS regime. The Congress government argued that it would act carefully, not in a hurry, and that the steps taken will rely on the comprehensive findings of commissions rather than political motivations.
The publication of the judicial commissions reports is expected to provide the necessary framework for the Congress leadership to take a decisive action on these issues.
