Twenty hurt as Yemeni drone hits Israeli city: medics

A drone fired from Yemen, the city of Southern Israel, hit the medical officials and the Israeli army.

Medical officials said that at least 20 people were injured and two were serious.

It was not immediately clear whether they were injured by the drone or a preventive.

The Houthi rebels in Yemen regularly fired drones and missiles to Israel, which they said that there was solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The vast majority were seized or fell in open spaces without injuring anyone.

The Israeli army said that “intervention efforts have been done” and search and rescue teams operate in the region.

Magen David Adom Rescue Service said that he carried the wounded to a nearby hospital and that they were “serious shrapnel injuries on the limbs”.

Israel carried out retaliation air strikes on Yemen in response to previous drone and missile attacks.
