Two Held for Drugging, Robbing Woman

Hyderabad:Abdullapurmet police arrested two persons and recovered a four-tola gold chain stolen from a 71-year-old woman, E. Mangamma, in Kothagudem.

Following a complaint from her family, two men visited Mangamma’s house and offered her drinks. After eating it, he fell asleep. When his family returned, they noticed that the gold chain he was wearing was missing.

Acting on reliable information, police arrested driver G. Harish (25) and farmer Venkatesh (55), both residents of Thippaigudem in Manchal mandal. BJP Chief Remembers Netaji’s Sacrifices

Hyderabad:Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao praised Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as an enduring inspiration for Indian youth and highlighted his sacrifices, determination and patriotism during the Parakram Diwas commemorations marking the 129th birth anniversary of the freedom fighter.

Speaking after unveiling the statue of Netaji and offering flowers at Kukatpally, Rao emphasized the need to study Bose’s life and ideals to strengthen national service. He described Bose as an outstanding leader of the independence movement who mobilized the youth and led the Azad Hind Fauj’s military campaign for freedom.

Recalling important historical moments, Rao noted that Bose hoisted the Tricolor on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on December 30, 1943, declaring India’s independence and embodying eternal courage.

Later, Rao adorned Netaji’s portrait at the BJP state office, where senior party leaders and activists also paid tribute.

78,000 rupees robbed from Kirana store

Hyderabad: Unidentified persons robbed cash worth ₹78,000 from a kirana store in Kuntloor after it was closed on Thursday night, Hayathnagar police said.

The shop, owned by Kengiri Mallesh, was found ransacked in the early hours of Friday after his son Pavan visited it around 4.40am and noticed a window open. He alerted his father, who discovered that ₹78,000 kept in the counter was missing.
