Two pilots killed in Southend airport plane crash are named

Southend airport was chosen as two pilots killed in a plane crash.

Zeusch Aviation said that captain Danny Marco Franken and the first officer Floris Christiaan Rhee were “both respectable and dear colleagues”.

The medical flight, which was rented to carry a patient for treatment in the UK, collapsed at Southend Airport shortly after the departure on Sunday, July 13th.

The plane was a pair of turboprop Beechcraft B200 Super King Air.

Witnesses, when the plane crashed, they saw a “fire ball ve and shared images of fire and black smoke on social media.

It is understood that the patient fell and that the plane falls depending on his base in the Netherlands.

A female nurse and a male doctor were killed in the accident.

The nurse was named after 31 -year -old Maria Fernanda Rojaz Ortiz, a German national from Chile, and the doctor was called 46, German national Dr Matthias September.

The nurse’s friends told the BBC that he was the “most gentle spirit” and “there is not a single bad bone in his body.”

Zeusch Aviation’s statement said, “Our thoughts remain with their families, friends and everyone who is affected by this destructive loss.

“Zeusch Aviation continues to support families, and as the investigations continue, in close contact with the relevant authorities.”

Zeusch Aviation General Manager Marco Rietvelt said: “Danny and Floris were not only high -skilled pilots, but also very valuable and popular members of our team. The passion of flying was matched with their commitment to their colleagues and important tasks.

“We all are deeply shocked and upset about this tragic loss. Our priority is to support the losses and the families of our employees in these incredibly difficult times. At the same time, we are determined to help the authorities in their ongoing investigations.”

After tragedy, all operations were suspended immediately, and the incoming planes headed to Gatwick and Stansted.

The Southend Airport was completely reopened last Thursday.
