Two SPOs dismissed for terror-links in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua

Two Special Police Officers (SPOs) have been suspended due to their alleged links to terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district, officials said on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

Officials said SPOs Abdul Latief and Mohd Abbas were arrested for their alleged previous involvement in terrorist activities.

They said Senior Superintendent of Police, Kathua, Mohita Sharma had ordered the immediate suspension of the two SPOs.

Two police officers are accused of providing support to terrorists.
