Two Sudanese ‘militiamen’ invited to Labour conference event | Politics | News

Two members of a water paramiliter group accused of the murder of thousands of people were invited to appear at a fringing event at the annual conference of the Labor Party. The event was organized by the Turkish Research Center (Ceftus) operated by Ibrahim Dogus, a member of the Labor Party Assembly.
It is claimed that the two men were linked to the Fast Support Forces (RSF), a group founded by the government in 2013 to fight the Sudan Armed Forces (pure) to fight the rebels of Sudan. The group is accused of the murder of collective torture, rape, looting and non -Arab peoples in controlled areas. Ceftus canceled the event after being informed about the alleged connections of men’s media output.
The Labor Party is not responsible for the appearance of guests in fringing activities, but is responsible for accreditation, and a Labor Spokesman said it no longer continues.
Ceftus spokesman said: uz We reduce human rights violations and violence in which rapid support forces were accused, and our focus was to promote dialogue, understanding and peaceful solutions instead of constantly rather than raising any political agenda. ”
“Ceftus was unaware of any connection between these individuals and RSF, and at this stage, no independent evidence connects them.”
Sözcü said that CEFTUS had removed speakers from the event invitations while asking for more information.
A panel discussion of the event titled Süt Sudan at the Junction: Supporting Peace, Democracy and Civil Sounds ”would take place and will be held in a place hired by Sme4labour, which was operated by Dogus.
Laura Kyrke-Smith, workers’ deputy, was listed as a presidency to the event, but is not believed to have any information about men’s invitation or connections with RSF.
The two men would also take part in an event held in the European Parliament on Wednesday, but this was canceled after the alleged connections appeared.
Gamaal El Attar, General Manager of International Rights and Development Federation (IFRD), a Belgian Human Rights Group (IFRD), described the hosting of the alleged paramilitary members as “deeply uncomfortable ..
He said: “RSF is directly related to genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and widespread gender -based violence. To provide a platform to these individuals at risk and weakens the moral reliability of the Labor Party.”
