Tycoon dies after plunging from 28th floor Miami balcony
An Israeli-American businessman died after falling from the 28th floor of a luxury building in Miami.
Yakir Levi, 45, was identified by family members as the man who fell from the Acqualina Resort and Residences On The Beach in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, on Monday.
Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) members responded to a report of an adult male who had fallen from a building shortly after 9:30 p.m.
“Upon arrival, they confirmed an adult male had fallen and MDFR pronounced him dead at the scene,” a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office spokesperson told the Daily Mail.
While detectives were in the process of identifying the deceased and notifying next of kin, they were unable to confirm Levi’s identity.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit has taken over what is being treated as an unclassified death investigation.
“The manner and cause of death will be determined based on the results of the autopsy to be performed by the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner,” the spokesman said.
A woman listed on Facebook as Levi’s sister wrote: ‘My dear precious brother. I entrust your soul to the Creator. ‘Someone wake me up from this crazy nightmare.’

A representative from Acqualina told the Daily Mail that the residential building is cooperating with investigators.
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident and our thoughts are with our family and friends at this difficult time,” the spokesman said.
‘Due to the ongoing investigation by local authorities we are unable to share further details.
‘The safety and well-being of our guests and team members remains our top priority.’
Levi, who served as an IDF soldier before moving to the United States, founded 770 Water Damage Restoration, a Los Angeles-based water damage and restoration company. Los Angeles Magazine.
His social media pages show that he once had a career as a musician and started an Israeli reality TV show that aired on the Israeli broadcasting company Reshet.
He was married to his wife Meital Gershoni Levi and they had three children.
Tributes to Levi were made on an Instagram page called Bukhara Community, described as the largest online community of Bukhara Jews.

“The Israeli community mourns the tragic death of Los Angeles resident Yakir Levi, who died last night at the age of 45,” the page said.
‘Levi is survived by his wife and three children. May his memory be blessed and may his family find solace among those who mourn in Zion and Jerusalem.’
