U.K. Lawmaker Says She’s Suing Elon Musk’s Company Over Fake Grok Bikini Images
LONDON (AP) — A British lawmaker said he would file a lawsuit Thursday Elon Musk’s company xAI A lawsuit was filed for violation of privacy, claiming that fake images were created using the Grok chatbot.
Lawmaker Jess Asato of the ruling Labor Party said someone used Grok to create fake images of bikinis without her consent in January, after criticizing the spread of deepfake pornography online.
He filed a lawsuit in the High Court in London on Wednesday, alleging misuse of private information under the Data Protection Act.
He is seeking compensation and says he wants to set a precedent where companies can be held accountable for the design of AI systems.
“No one can come up to me on the street and undress me and put me in a bikini, and I don’t understand why someone should be able to do that to me online, because the feelings are very similar, although not exactly the same,” she said. “It’s like someone digitally robbed me without my consent.”
Asato said he hopes others will agree with this claim.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he supported Asato’s case “100%”.
“Jess Asato was absolutely justified in her action,” Starmer told reporters. “Grok created disgusting images in his particular case.”

In January, American writer Ashley St., mother of Musk’s son Romulus. Clair filed suit against xAI in New York. He claims that the sexually explicit images of himself were created by the artificial intelligence chatbot Grok; One of them is a minor.
xAI did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday.
