A UFO researcher has issued a warning that “something is afoot,” claiming “people will be shocked” by the Trump administration’s release of previously classified documents about Unidentified Anomalous Events (UAPs).
In February, Donald Trump ordered the US government to “begin the process of identifying and publishing” official files on aliens and extraterrestrial life. The Pentagon has worked for years to declassify the documents, but Trump has refocused on the issue by hinting that a key UFO document will be released.
That reveal finally began this month. On May 8, the Pentagon released the first set of files, hundreds of pages documenting reported sightings dating back to the 1940s, along with historic State Department cables, FBI documents, and transcripts of NASA crewed space flights, as well as more than 20 video files showing unidentified objects captured by military sensors in places from Syria and Japan to North America.
Last week, the Pentagon unveiled a second batch of 64 files, including six PDF files, seven audio files and 51 video files. The second collection of recordings included a first-hand account from an intelligence officer in 2025 describing an experience that left him “nearly speechless” and numerous UAP videos captured by military aircraft.

“There is very strong evidence that we are being visited,” UAP researcher and TV Producer Josh Golembeske, who co-hosts Cosmic Explanation on the alternative streaming platform Gaia, told Fox News. “There’s a lid put on it,” he added.
However, Golembeske argues that the Trump administration’s gradual release of previously classified UFO files is part of a deliberate strategy to gradually inform the public about extraterrestrial encounters in order to avoid triggering widespread panic about potential neighbors elsewhere in the universe.
“There has been a long push from the public and behind the scenes to get to this moment. This pressure has also seeped into the public. [Trump] management. Therefore, this administration is now more open to this,” he states.
Golembeske, who has long advocated for full transparency regarding UFOs, explained that controlled releases represent an effective way to prepare the public for the possibility that we are not alone.

“I think it was a gradual statement, and you could argue that it was a compassionate statement,” Golembeske said. “That’s actually how I would do it because I know people would be shocked and I’m not going to leave it all up to them.”
He hinted that there might be much more important revelations on the horizon. “I wouldn’t have said this five years ago, but it feels like something is coming,” Golembeske said. “It feels like we’re heading towards a moment where the genie can’t be put back in the bottle; I think it’s gone too far.”
However, he implored the government to favor “hope-based explanations” over “fear-based explanations”, assuring the public that the evidence it had accumulated over the years “shows that there is nothing to fear”.
