CM Naidu Lauds Women’s Blind Cricket Team’s Triumph

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandra Babu Naidu and state ministers joined the country to celebrate India’s historic victory in the Blind Women’s T20 World Cup.

Naidu said, “Huge congratulations to Team India for their amazing performance in winning the first-ever Visually Impaired Women’s T20 World Cup! Their courage and determination is truly inspiring.” he said.

Education minister Nara Lokesh said, “It is encouraging to see their courage and resilience shine on the global stage as they bring the greatest success to the nation.” he said. He also appreciated Nepal’s brave performance.

The ministers particularly highlighted the success of Visakhapatnam actress P Karuna Kumari. Minister Dola Bala Veeranjaneyaswamy specially congratulated Karuna Kumari and said that the support of the state government and special cricket training for her to hone her skills helped in this win.

Andhra Cricket Association President and Vijayawada MP Keseni Sivanath said: “The victory elevated the country’s dignity on the international stage. The team showed extraordinary fighting spirit, hard work and determination to win the World Cup despite physical limitations. This is truly inspiring.”
