UK man arrested after former prince Andrew threatened

British police have arrested a man who allegedly threatened former Prince Andrew near his residence, the Telegraph newspaper reported.

The local police force said they received a report of a man behaving intimidatingly in the village of Wolferton in eastern England.

They did not name Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in their statement.

“Officers attended and the man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offense and possession of an offensive weapon,” a police statement said. The statement was included.

The suspect is being held at a nearby police station for questioning.

The Telegraph report, citing an unnamed source, said a man wearing a balaclava approached Mountbatten-Windsor, King Charles’ younger brother, and shouted at him.

The report stated that Mountbatten-Windsor was walking her dogs at the time and left in her own car with a security guard.

She moved to the King’s private Sandringham Estate in Norfolk after being evicted from her longtime home near Windsor Castle earlier this year.

Mountbatten-Windsor is provided with an annual salary by the King.

This includes funding for private security costs, the Press Association understands, but it is up to the former duke how he uses this.

Mountbatten-Windsor had her titles stripped by Charles last year and she was arrested in February on suspicion of leaking government documents to late US sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Mountbatten-Windsor has denied any wrongdoing regarding Epstein and said she regretted their friendship.
