UK set to recognise Palestinian state on Sunday | Gaza

Israel is expected to recognize a Palestinian state on Sunday because it does not meet the conditions set by Keir Starmer in July.

The Prime Minister has concluded that the human situation has worsening significantly in the last few weeks. The movement comes despite the pressure of hostages organized by the US and Hamas.

In July, Starmer said he would recognize Palestine before the collection of world leaders at the UN General Assembly next week if the situation did not heal.

In addition to the ongoing military attack in Gaza and the humanitarian crisis, the United Kingdom is concerned about accelerating the Israeli settlements in the West Bank as the ministers will end any hope of a two -state solution.

Emek tried to emphasize that the recognition of a Palestinian state was not a reward for Hamas and emphasized that Gaza would have no role in its future governance. The government is expected to increase sanctions on Hamas in time and increased demands for release of hostages.

Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy, who will represent the UK at the General Assembly, said, “It is important to state that the recognition of a Palestinian state is the result of the intentions and indications that we see through a ram and horses, for example, the serious expansion we see in the West Bank.

Israel has increased its attack on Gaza City, including strikes that are said to have killed at least 14 people on Saturday on Saturday. Later, thousands of demonstrators in Israel joined the families of the hostages held by Hamas to demand the end of the war of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

At the UN summit, high -level meetings with world leaders start on September 23rd. Starmer contradicted the administration of Donald Trump and the government against the official recognition.

The workers’ leader would have avoided that the British recognition was conditional and that Israel had decided on a ceasefire and long -term sustainable peace, which offered a two -state solution and allowed the UN to restart the aid supply.

However, considering that the Israeli government opposes these conditions, it is not likely to meet all three conditions. The Palestinian province is currently recognized by 147 of the UN’s 193 member states.

Currently, some of the 48 hostages under captivity wrote an open letter to Starmer condemning the movement.

In the letter, he said: “Your sad explanation of the intention of recognizing a Palestinian state at the United Nations General Assembly of the United Nations made a significant complexity of efforts to bring our loved ones home.

“Hamas celebrated England’s decision as a victory and drew it on the cease -fire agreement.

Criticism came from the opposition parties with Shadow Foreign Minister Priti Patel and accused Starmer of “delivery ına to his backbencher to support his leadership.

Lammy added: özellikle Regarding what happened in Gaza… We must see hostages.

“Humanitarian situation is just desperate and we see, we have continued to put pressure on Israel to deal with the malnutrition and hunger scenes that we see to open more sites to Gaza to get more help to Gaza, and we are very worried about this attack on Gaza.”
