UK to mass produce drones to help Ukraine fight off Russian aerial attacks

Britain will produce state -of -the -art search drones to help Ukraine fight Russian air strikes.

According to the Ministry of Defense (MOD), the drones, designed by Ukraine with the support of British scientists and technicians, are very effective in destroying Moscow’s one -way attack planes.

The Russian plane, which violated the Poland airspace during the attacks on Ukraine overnight, comes after being shot by Poland and NATO.

Defense Secretary John Healey will detail the project, a technology sharing agreement with Kiev at the International (DSEI) Trade Fair of Defense and Security Equipment in London on Thursday.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said: “While Russia continues its terrible and brutal attacks against Ukraine, Britain’s support will not diminish and we will continue to take steps with our allies.

“This new partnership is a turning point that brings together the creativity of British and Ukraine to provide the latest defense drone technology to fight against Russian aggression.

“By taking advantage of the power of our first -class defense industry, we do not help Ukraine’s defense of Putin against barbaric attacks, but we also create British works and secure our own future and our own future.”

Mod said that new drones proved to be useful against Shahed drones used by Russia and are much cheaper than traditional air defense missiles to produce.

Sir Keir and President Volodymyr Zelensky announced his industrial partnership during the summer.

An expansion signed by the defense secretary in Kiev last week allows the sharing and joint development of intellectual property.

Mr. Healey said: “With Ukraine, this groundbreaking industrial partnership and new defense industrial strategy, we are returning our world leader defense industry.

“We will innovate at the time of war time, support England and Ukrainian security, and increase things in the UK.

“This is an example of the type of agreement, and by providing an unprecedented access to the British industry’s latest equipment designs, it supports Ukraine in the struggle for defense against Putin’s illegal invasion and shows how the defense can be a motor for growth while presenting our change plan.”

Mr Healey met with defense officials from Poland, Italy, France and Germany in London on Wednesday, condemned Russia’s “reckless” attacks on the Poland airspace.

British armed forces said that NATO wanted NATO to look at the options for supporting the air defense over Poland.
