UK weather maps show snow forecast for some areas in the UK, including parts of southern England. WXCHARTS’ new forecast calls for snow on Tuesday, November 18th.
Maps show snow will mainly affect Scotland in the morning, with much of the country covered. Parts of northern England near Newcastle are also expected to experience showers.
Further south, patches of snow can be seen near London, Kent and Norfolk.
The WXCHARTS forecast, supported by Metdesk data, shows that temperatures will drop, especially in Scotland, with temperatures as low as -8C possible in the Highlands.
The area of England near the Northern Scottish border will also be cold, with temperatures of -5C.
Much of the UK will remain just below freezing, while much of the South will drop to -2C.
The Met Office’s forecast also says there is a chance of snow in England next week.
Met Office meteorologist Simon Partridge told The Independent: “It’s definitely going to be a lot colder over the next few days, there will be an 8 to 10 degree drop in temperature, you’ll struggle to get double figures.”
“We will likely see the first widespread frost across the country on Monday morning, with low temperatures between minus 5C and minus 7C.”
He added that snow was likely to fall on the moors of Scotland, Northern Ireland, the North Yorkshire Moors, west Wales and south-west England.
These conditions are likely to arrive on Tuesday and Wednesday.
