UK weather: Warm settled weather set to continue into the weekend

A change in wind direction from the beginning of next week will result in cooler temperatures.
A north-westerly wind will drive in some colder air and temperatures will fall below average in Scotland and Northern Ireland on Monday.
It will also temporarily become more unstable, with a low pressure monitoring area across Scotland by Tuesday.
This will bring showers that could turn slightly wintry in the Highlands of Scotland, northern England and Wales.
Coolness will also be felt early next week, with temperatures ranging from 6°C in northern Scotland to 13°C in south-east England.
Looking ahead, there are signs that high pressure will return for the weather to return to normal for the start of the Easter school holidays.
You can keep up to date with the details of this in our monthly view.
