Ukraine expects Russian push as drones ‘target Moscow’

Ukraine’s senior military commander Oleksandr Syrskyi warned a new Russian attack in the Kharkiv region, a part of the Northeast Ukraine, a heavy fighting scene since Russia’s occupation in 2022.

The Russian forces gradually move from the Ukrainian lines for a few parts of this northern hemisphere and constantly demonstrate infantry waves as they try to press the advantage of men and ammunition.

In recent months, Russian troops entered the Sumy region of Northern Ukraine, where there was a small basis.

“I dedicated it to working with the units in the Kharkiv region for two days,” Syrskyi wrote.

Talking to the commanders, the situation in the region and the needs of the units there by examining time, he said.

“The Russians want to print with numbers, but we must be ready, we must use appropriate tactical and technological solutions to avoid allowing the progress of Russian soldiers.” He said.

Russian air defenses shot four Ukrainian planes on Saturday, the city mayor said that one of the main airports of the capital temporarily stopped the outgoing flights.

Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that emergency services work in the places of fallen drones, but did not give information about potential damage.

The Ministry of Defense said that 94 drones were destroyed in Russia on Saturday and 45 more in the morning between 8 and 1.50 more destroyed.

He said that Moscow’s outgoing flights at Shemetyevo airport were temporarily paused on Saturday before being removed.

Rosaviatsia referred to St Petersburg’s security concerns, including Pulkovo Airport, and said that the flights and outgoing flights in other Russian cities were temporarily stopped.
