Victorian state director Stuart Smith resigns after leaked texts mocking women and MP
Victoria Liberal State Director Stuart Smith, leaked texts, a female group and a deputy showed humiliating explanations after showing that “the benefit of the party” resigned.

A view that he had to resign between the liberals grew.
“For the interests of the party, I resigned to minimize the distraction elements from the important task of winning the next election for the interests of the party,” he said.
“I regret the comments and apologize to them. I thank the party for the opportunity and wish the team well.”

This dispute has been solved since then.
His resignation comes at a very important time for Victoria’s liberal party. President Phil Davis faces a challenge from his predecessor Greg Mirabella at the State Council on Saturday and the pre -elections for all the lower home seats opened on Monday before the next year’s state elections.
Smith was aligned with Davis.
