Virginia Congressional redistricting amendment results

(NewsNation) — Voters Virginia It will decide whether to redraw congressional districts, essentially giving Democrats a 10-1 edge in the state delegation.

Tuesday’s referendum asks voters whether to tentatively pass a new House map before 2030, when borders are redrawn after the U.S. Census.

Virginia became the latest state to try to redraw borders to give one side an advantage. States like Texas and Missouri changed lines that benefited Republicans. There has also been redistricting in California, potentially giving Democrats additional seats.
