Unite attacks Angela Rayner over ‘abhorrent’ handling of Birmingham bin strikes | Labour

Angela Rayner is accused of taking the strike of Birmingham bin workers by Unite Secretary General Sharon Graham in a “completely and completely disgusting” way.

Graham said to the current program of the BBC Radio 4: “Angela Rayner refuses to be involved and this garbage box is directly helping the fire and spiritual of the workers and overwhelming, completely and completely disgusting.”

In an interview with heated, Graham said that the Deputy Prime Minister could not start a recent meeting with Graham: “He doesn’t want to talk about this, because he knows that what happened is disgusting, but he doesn’t want to intervene.”

He added that Rayner has been a member of the Union for 10 years, but may have been separated from his own agreement in the last quarter because he sees his mood. Graham said: “Angela Rayner was a member of our union for 10 years and was a very clear member when he asked us to give him £ 10,000 for the election.”

In the previous weeks, “We discussed what we’re not satisfied with what’s going on,” he added.

Unite members voted to re -examine the union’s relationship with the worker and to suspend Rayner’s Union membership in the last conference on a thousand strikes.

However, party sources claimed that Rayner resigned a few months ago.

Graham said: “If I was Angela Rayner this morning, I wouldn’t try to take a Houdini action on whether it was technically [a member] At this point. A member of our union for years and years and years – and [UK parliament’s] ‘Interest’ was a member of our union in May. “

Rayner said that instead of trying to discuss the status of membership, he should ask: “How did we enter a position where 800 delegates put ourselves in the Unite Policy Conference in two things: One, to say that they want to look at our relationship with the labor force to say that Angela Rayner wanted to be suspended from our union.”

Unite members had to see that the relationship fee of 1.4 million pounds donated by the Union to the Worker was “worth a thing ,,“ If I am honest at this moment, it is difficult to justify it at this moment. This will be a better decision for my members? But the decision will be a serious decision. This is not a sheep conference.

Although Unite’s movement against Rayner is largely symbolic, the threat of cutting financial ties with labor may deeply damage the party.

Rayner did not respond immediately to the request for comment. A party source, a party source that responded to Guardian about the decision of Unite, said: “Angela is not interested in stupid stunts, she is interested in changing the lives of workers. Unite Birmingham rejected an agreement and its demands would be discriminated against women.

“Angela has been struggling for equal wages as a unionist for decades, and as a home care worker, he has experienced less payment as a working -class woman for the same job.”

A Workers’ Party spokesman said: “The workers’ government brought the greatest raise in a generation of workers’ rights in a generation to address low wages, insecure work and bad working conditions that will benefit 15 million workers throughout the country.
