Two people were shot and killed inside a vehicle on the University of Chicago campus on Thursday, according to local news.
Police said the victims, a 27-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, were found inside a vehicle in the 5900 block of South Ellis near Midway Plaisance Skating Rink and Harper Quad around 5:35 p.m., according to NBC 5 Chicago.
Both victims suffered gunshot wounds to the head, according to police.

The man and woman were taken to the university hospital in critical condition, but were later pronounced dead.
It is not yet known whether the two victims have any connection to the university.

Police said a firearm was seized at the scene.

The investigation of the incident continues.
“This incident is currently under investigation and we are unable to confirm details at this time,” a Chicago Police Department spokesperson told Fox News Digital.
