Unoccupied TIDCO Houses to be Reallotted: Nellore Commissioner
Nellore: Nellore Municipal Corporation commissioner YO Nandan on Monday announced that TIDCO houses, which remain vacant despite notifications, will be reallocated to other eligible beneficiaries under PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) 2.0.
The announcement was made during the weekly Public Grievance Redressal Forum held at the Command Control Center of the Municipal Corporation, where mayor-in-charge P. Roop Kumar Yadav and the commissioner received petitions from the public. The mayor instructed the authorities to resolve the complaints within the stipulated time and prevent recurrence.
The Commissioner urged eligible beneficiaries to apply for TIDCO housing and urged citizens to cooperate with the ongoing NAKSHA survey and ensure issuance of ownership certificates upon completion. He also asked residents to pay property and vacant land taxes immediately and advised owners of unauthorized layout and building deviations to regularize them under the LRS and BPS schemes.
A total of 41 petitions were received from various departments. Deputy commissioner Chennudu, chief engineer Rahantu Jani, executive engineer Seshagiri Rao, medical officer Dr Kanakadhri, in-charge town planner Raghunath Rao, administrator Rajeshwari and officials from all departments were present.
