Air India on Thursday launched a new global menu across its fleet, offering a mix of Indian and international cuisines on most international and domestic flights, with options for First, Business, Premium Economy classes and special dietary preferences.

Air India on Thursday launched a new global menu across its fleet, offering a mix of Indian and international cuisines on most international and domestic flights, with options for First, Business, Premium Economy classes and special dietary preferences. The new menu has been introduced on most international routes outside India, including flights from Delhi to London Heathrow, New York, Melbourne, Sydney, Toronto and Dubai; From Mumbai and Bengaluru to San Francisco; and from Mumbai to New York to name a few.
What will the new Air India menu consist of?
The new menu includes a variety of options in all classes. Special Indian dishes include Awadhi Paneer Anjeer Pasanda in Veg Awadhi Thali, Murgh Massalam in Non-Veg Awadhi Thali and South Indian platter in First and Business Class. Premium Economy passengers can enjoy Rajasthani besan chilla, malabari chicken curry and malai palak patties.
International cuisine options include Japanese Teppanyaki Bowl, citrus tiger prawns and oriental napa cabbage and tofu roll mats in First Class, while Seoul flamed prawns, manicotti Forestiere and Mediterranean tapas are offered in Business Class.
Generation Z passengers can enjoy chicken bibimbap and matcha in Business Class. Homestyle comfort food like masala dal khichdi and stuffed parantha in Business Class.
The menu is also plant-based and caters to special dietary needs, with special vegan, gluten-free and allergen-sensitive options.
This application will be gradually expanded to all international sectors as well as domestic routes. The menu weaves a delicious story combining Indian flavors with influences from world cuisines. There’s a portfolio mix of regionally inspired dishes as well as international cuisine, including European bistros and pan-Asian, that will appeal to any traveler. Guests traveling in First Class will enjoy gourmet meals, artisan breads, specialty desserts, and special wine and champagne pairings.
The delightful new menu has been curated by Chef Sandeep Kalra, who recently joined Air India. The new menu is inspired by the diverse culinary experiences India has to offer, from classic Delhi Street dishes to authentic south Indian tiffin, alongside international cuisine that appeals to today’s young travelers, such as Korean Bibimbap and Matcha.
Air India cabin crew have also undergone special training to enhance the customer experience on board.
Air India will also offer over 18 types of signature meals that adapt to the lifestyles and dietary preferences of modern travelers for a truly immersive and personalized experience, one of the few airlines globally to do so. The airline also strives to reduce its environmental impact through cycles such as responsible sourcing, packaging and waste reduction.
