UP Shri Banke Bihari Ji Temple Trust Bill gets Governor’s assent

It is said that Pradeep Dubey, Principal Secretary of the Legislative Assembly, will inform both the Houses about the Act today.
The approved law aims to ensure better governance, transparency and improved facilities for devotees while preserving the religious traditions of the popular temple.
On August 6, the Allahabad High Court criticized the state government’s move to bring an ordinance proposing a legal trust for the management of the historic Banke Bihari Temple and observed that the state had committed a ‘sin’.
During the hearing, the single judge made harsh comments on the state government’s attempt to take over the management of the temple and asked the government to “leave the temple alone”.
