Ikkis box office collection day 6

Period war drama Ikkis, starring Agastya Nanda, Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat, was released in theaters on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2026. The film got off to a good start, netting ₹20.15 crore in India in its four-day opening weekend, but the Sriram Raghavan directorial has struggled to maintain its momentum at the box office since then.

Ikkis achieved just Rs 1.35 billion on its first Monday, then rose slightly to Rs 1.50 billion on Tuesday, taking its six-day India net total to Rs 23 billion. The Agastya Nanda starrer has found it difficult to stay afloat amidst the ongoing Dhurandhar wave. The Ranveer Singh-led spy thriller continues to rule the box office even in its fifth week; Aditya Dhar’s directorial remains the audience’s top pick, raking in close to Rs crore on its fifth Tuesday alone.

Ikkis marks Dharmendra’s last appearance on the big screen following the legendary actor’s death on November 24. The war drama is also among the last films to feature veteran actor Asrani, who passed away on October 20, and is scheduled to appear posthumously in Priyadarshan’s films Bhooth Bangla and Haiwaan later this year. Additionally, the Sriram Raghavan directorial introduces the acting debut of Akshay Kumar’s niece Simar Bhatia.

Agastya Nanda portrays the role of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was martyred at the age of just 21 during the Battle of Basantar in the 1971 Indo-Pak War. For his extraordinary bravery and sacrifice, Khetarpal was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, becoming the youngest person to receive India’s highest military honor at that time. The record was later surpassed by Subedar Major and Honorary Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav, who received the Param Vir Chakra at the age of 19 for his bravery during the 1999 Kargil War.

The biographical war drama, backed by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films, is directed by Sriram Raghavan. After a string of acclaimed thrillers like Ek Hasina Thi, Andhadhun, Badlapur, Johnny Gaddaar, Agent Vinod and Merry Christmas, the filmmaker is treading new territory by exploring a different genre with Ikkis.
