Jerusalem: The Israeli army said it was preparing for a possible retaliatory strike “in the coming hours” after launching an attack on Beirut’s southern suburbs early Sunday. “Following the attack by the Israeli army in Beirut… the state of Israel is preparing for potential fire on the territory of the state of Israel in the coming hours,” the army said, without specifying where the attack was expected from.
