US lawmakers talk up big Boeing deal during China visit

In a rare visit of a group of deputies from Beijing (Reuters) -ABD, he made a agreement with the best Chinese leaders who would see that China has committed to buying more Boeing jets, the US democratic representative Adam Smith was held at a press conference on Tuesday.
US Ambassador to China, David PurDie, said he thought that negotiations have entered the last day or weeks and added that the agreement was “very important for the president”.
Bloomberg reported last month that Boeing had negotiated to sell about 500 jets to China. This will represent a major breakthrough for the company in the world’s second largest aviation market in the midst of US-China trade tensions.
“Boeing planes have been sold here in China for a while. We want to make this agreement,” Smith said. “This is a good company, a good product, I hope you go back to selling planes in China.”
The visit, which started on Sunday, has been pointing to the delegation of the first delegation of the delegation to China since 2019, and later the US-China has worsening during the coronavirus pandemia.
The world’s two largest economies are following the conversation between President Donald Trump and Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping because they are trying to improve relations beyond the current tariff ceasefire.
Boeing is one of the largest US exporters and has historically sent about a quarter of its planes to China, but has not provided a major Chinese purchase since the first period of Trump.
PurDie said last week that Boeing’s factory in Tianjin visited 150 km (95 miles) southeast of the Chinese capital.
MPs met with the official Li Qiang, who ranked in China on Sunday, and the economy tsar increased the need for more military dialogue with LiFeng and Defense Minister Dong Jun on Monday.
“I think it was time to start to make a speech on this issue to make sure we understand each other and have not come across any conflict when you approach thousands of nuclear weapons,” Smith said at a press conference in Beijing. He said.
Adam Smith is the current high -level democrat of the US Department of Defense and the Assembly Armed Services Committee, which controls the armed forces.
Although Trump selected China for over 100% tasks earlier this year, before walking back, the US semiconductor chips, Chinese activities in the South China Sea and Taiwan, and Tiktok’s ownership of Tiktok clouds the relationship.
Ro Khanna, another member of the delegation, which is another member of the Judicial authority, was vocal with China in technology and economic competition with China.
