The US military launched a deadly attack on a suspected drug-smuggling ship in the Eastern Pacific, killing four alleged narco-terrorists, according to US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM).
“On April 14, under the direction of #SOUTHCOM commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic attack on a ship operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization,” SOUTHCOM said in a post on X.
“Four male narco-terrorists were killed during this action,” SOUTHCOM said.

The command added that no US military forces were harmed.
SOUTHCOM did not immediately provide additional information about the identities of those killed or the specific groups involved.

The strike comes after SOUTHCOM said it had launched another strike in the Eastern Pacific on Monday, killing two men believed to be involved in drug trafficking.
The US military has launched dozens of attacks on ships suspected of drug smuggling in recent months as part of a broader campaign to dismantle cartel-linked smuggling operations.
