US Naval Academy gets first Marine superintendent
Annapolis, Art. (AP)-Teğmen Gen. Michael Borgschultte became the first Marine Pies officer in his 180 -year history of the US Naval Academy on Friday.
Borgschultte was the Deputy Commander of Manpower and Reserves in Virginia, Quantico before he was nominated as the 66th. Inspector of the Military Academy in Annapolis.
Graduated from the Academy in 1991, Borgschultte said that he would protect their proud traditions while preparing future generation officers for the difficulties of a complex world.
Borgschultte, during a ceremony marking the command change, “Academy, academic rankings or institutional praise – yes, we have – but we have – but there is to fulfill a sacred mission, and this is to develop the new generation of navy and marine pads who will protect and defend the freedoms of the Americans.” He said.
Navy Secretary John Phelan named Borgshulte: “Decorated Naval Avaacı and three war of war in Iraq and Iraq and Afghanistan.

Borgschultte replaced Davids, the first woman who was an inspector in January 2024. Davids is moving to the Pentagon to become an assistant chief of maritime operations for operations, plans, strategy and war struggle.
Phelan said that Davids fulfilled his role with a distinction and was the best person for the Pentagon Post.
“Davids’ experience, operational registration and strategic mind will adapt her and the navy well to her and the navy,” Phelan said.
