Lindsey Buckingham’s alleged stalker speaks out after he was attacked

Michelle Dick, previously accused of stalking former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham and made threats against her, the star is speaking out after being attacked in Los Angeles. Police have not publicly identified a suspect.
On Wednesday, the 76-year-old two-time Grammy Award winner was attacked by a woman while on a date in Santa Monica, California. NBC4 Investigates. Dick, who claimed to be Buckingham’s biological father, said: KTLA He said Wednesday he approached Buckingham last week and had been to his home in Brentwood before.
In court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Buckingham filed for a restraining order against Dick in December 2024.
“I fear that his behavior could escalate into a physically dangerous situation for me and my family,” Buckingham wrote in his petition.

Buckingham stated in the petition that the harassment began in 2021, when she alleged that Dick “hijacked my wife Kristen’s work cell phone number and called the number, sometimes dozens of times a day, leaving long messages claiming that she was my child and threatening to kill me and my family.”

“He also blamed me for the facial deformities he suffered in his childhood and for which he asked for money. I do not know Ms. Dick and I am not her father,” he added.
Although the harassment appeared to have subsided for two years, Dick took action in 2024.

In September of that year, Dick allegedly taped a piece of paper containing a photo collage of himself and Buckingham to Buckingham’s California home.
A day later, Dick was pulled over for sitting in front of Buckingham’s house. As officers detained him and questioned him, Dick said Buckingham was his biological father and that he had “strangled him as a child.”

On November 3, Buckingham said he was “awoken from his sleep by nearly a dozen police officers. When I opened the door, I was handcuffed and asked to come out of my home. This was because a 9-1-1 call had been received reporting that my son, William, was in my home and was suicidal, and the caller heard gunshots.”
The detective assigned to the case, Det. Marisol Landeros stated that she believed Dick to be “mentally unstable and dangerous.”
“He is clearly mentally unstable and has delusions, which makes him scary and unpredictable to me,” Buckingham added.
A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge granted the restraining order stating that Dick must stay at least 100 feet away from Buckingham and his family. He was also ordered not to harass or attempt to contact her in any way.
On Wednesday, LAPD officials confirmed to Fox News Digital that they were coordinating the effort with SMPD.
“The Los Angeles Police Department’s Threat Management Unit is working with the Santa Monica Police Department to investigate this incident,” officials said. “To protect the integrity of the open and ongoing investigation, no further comment will be made at this time.”

Buckingham has been married to photographer Kristen Messner since 2000 and the couple have three children.
