Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay on Wednesday (November 12, 2025) lashed out at Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, without publicly naming them, and accused the ruling party of resorting to spreading slander against his party.
Mr. Vijay, in his post about
Mr. Vijay said the ruling party was making false allegations against TVK even though his party was yet to launch a full-fledged criticism of DMK politics. According to him, his party’s criticism of the DMK was expressed moderately and tactfully.
“The party leader declared Tamil language, Tamil Nadu and Tamil identity as their core principles to fool the people by making them appear ideologically committed. When they fall out of power, they talk about Tamil language and Tamils, but after coming to power, they comfortably settle into positions of power and blame constitutional restrictions while enjoying their privileges. Where was their commitment to social justice when they refrained from conducting a caste-based poll on the baseless excuse that the state has no power to go,” Mr. Vijay questioned.
“Having forgotten Peryar’s ideals [E.V. Ramasamy] and Anna [C.N. Annadurai]”They now call TVK ideologically weak, adhering to secular social justice ideologies, out of sheer frustration,” he said.
He alleged that even during the protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, the ruling party leaders intended to criticize the TVK. “We will continue to expose the failures of their regime before the eyes of the nation. We will make these slanderers realize the true power of the people in the 2026 Parliament elections,” he said.
