The Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday (April 18, 2026) said it has launched SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)-enabled, integrated monitoring framework with advanced automation technologies across the state under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) to strengthen rural water infrastructure.

Managed through the Unified Command and Control System (UCCS), the system will enable real-time monitoring and control of water supply systems in rural areas, covering parameters related to water quality, distribution efficiency and asset performance. It will leverage a network of approximately 0.7 million IoT-enabled sensors. The platform aggregates live operational data into a central dashboard, enabling data transparency, predictive maintenance and rapid decision-making, the government said.
