Warangal RO Sub-Registrar Suspended After ACB Raids Expose Alleged Irregularities

-Warangal: Warangal Registration Office (RO) sub-registrar-I Jamalapuri Ramanarsimha Rao has been suspended following allegations of corruption, according to official orders issued by special secretary (Registration and Stamps) and commissioner-in-charge Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu.

The action follows raids carried out by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) at the Warangal RO office on April 3. During the searches, authorities reportedly found evidence of illegal records and disproportionate assets.

Sub-registrar II Anand was previously suspended in connection with the same case. Ramanarsimha Rao’s latest suspension was based on a report submitted by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Subhashini.

Although the disciplinary investigation was concluded on April 10, official decisions were postponed due to the holiday.

Official sources said the investigation also uncovered suspicious online transactions worth Rs 43 lakh between two sub-registries. The investigation continues to determine whether more officials are involved in the alleged irregular recording network.
