Major UK retailer to hire thousands of Christmas staff

John Lewis Partnership (JLP) hired for a 13,700 Christmas role in the biggest recruitment driving so far while preparing for the busy shopping season.

John Lewis stores and Waitrose chain, including the retail group, said consumers have invested to meet the increase in demand.

Seasonal Roller 35 John Lewis store will include 3,000, Waitrose stores 8,500, and about 2,200 in the warehouses and supply chain network.

Each year, JLP hires for temporary store workers and logistics staff, for the so-called “Golden Mahallesi için for the last three months of the year-and January sales period.

The British retailer will send 30 million visitors to John Lewis stores during this time, and their warehouses will send more than two delivery per second.

JLP’s chief human officer Jo Rackham said: ık We have invested in a big investment to build a big golden quarter, but our perfect service is based on having bright partners in your hands where they need when our customers need.

“Help our customers to find the show stop for a perfect gift or Christmas lunch for a loved one, and our seasonal teams play a major role in spreading the festive spell.

“Rewarding roles in one of the most exciting times of the year to work in retail sales.”

Approximately 70,000 employees of the JLP are known as “partners, because of the shortage of employees, so they can share it in the abdomen and have a say about how it is carried out.

However, the workers missed the annual bonus for the third year in a row.

Earlier this year, President Jason Tarry said that the retailer was in a position to do so that he was “stable ,, to restore bonus payments for personnel.

Business recruitment driving is described as Waitrose’s part of the first full -sized supermarket in seven years as part of a millions of pounds of expansion plan.

Located in a new town in North Bristol, the new 30,000 square meter store is expected to open its doors in 2027. The opening is part of its plans to invest £ 1 billion in new stores in 150 existing stores in the next three years.
