The video shows the moment a female student chases a classmate in a Detroit high school classroom, allegedly using a cutter when a teacher tries to intervene.
Detroit police said the incident occurred in a classroom at Denby High School, FOX 2 in Detroit reported.
Authorities said it was unclear what led to the confrontation, which was captured on video circulating online.
The video begins with a student wearing a blue beanie and headphones pointing at another student wearing a face mask.

As the masked student approaches, the other student turns and runs around the classroom before retreating, crashing into desks as the two move across the room.
After the student in the blue beret runs out of the classroom, another student approaches the doorway and the teacher tries to stop him, using a chair to block the exit.

An object resembling a box cutter appears to fall from the student’s hand. He then grabs the object before running into the hallway.
A student asked, “Is this a pocket knife?” he asks. As the student runs down the corridor and disappears. After the student, faculty members also filed a criminal complaint.

In a statement obtained FOX 2The school district confirmed that a student brought a box cutter to campus and attempted to attack another student.
The statement said, “There were no injuries in the incident.” “The student has been arrested and will not be returning to Denby or any other district school. There will be an additional police presence at the school tomorrow.”
