Video shows final moments before deadly plane crash
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – A new video shared to 6 News by a viewer shows the final moments of a mid-size jet falling from the sky over Bath Township Thursday night. A few minutes after the video was recorded, the jet crashed into a state-owned forest area. killing all three on board.

The woman who recorded the jet falling from the sky lives in Somerset Park Apartments, three kilometers from the crash site. “I took my dog for a walk and the plane was flying everywhere, losing control,” Carrie Sieffert told 6 News. “I almost thought it was a glider [because] The going back and forth was out of control. I saw it flying around and then when I tried to take a video you could see it coming down. So sad!”

The FAA and NTSB are investigating the crash and have not commented on what the cause might have been. Investigations into plane crashes can take months to complete.
Director of Aviation Phil Kroll confirmed that the jet took off from Battle Creek Executive Airport, where it was undergoing maintenance.

Maintenance was performed by Duncan Aviation. The only people on board were two customer pilots and a maintenance representative, company president Mike Minchow said. The jet had registration number XA-JMR from outside Mexico.
“Our focus at this time is to support the families and friends of the crew, our team members who work on the aircraft and develop close relationships with representatives of the aircraft, and everyone affected by the tragic incident,” Minchow said.
Minchow added that “Duncan Aviation is actively supporting federal, state and local authorities as part of their investigation.”
