Vinicius Jr apologises to Real Madrid fans

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr apologized to fans for his reaction to a substitution during Sunday’s El Clasico win against Barcelona.

Vinicius was sent off in the 72nd minute and expressed his frustration by going straight to the tunnel.

The Brazilian then returned to the bench and attempted to confront Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal in unpleasant post-match scenes following his team’s 2-1 win.

Vinicius wrote on X: “Today I want to apologize to all Madrid fans for my reaction when I was substituted in the Clasico.”

“I would like to apologize again to my teammates, my club and the president, as I did personally in today’s training.

“Sometimes passion gets the better of me because I always want to win and help my team. My competitive nature stems from my love for this club and everything it stands for.”
