A viral video circulating on social media on Sunday showed agitators interfering with an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation targeting an alleged child sex offender in Minnesota.

The video, posted on X and viewed more than 750,000 times within hours, shows an ICE agent in St. It shows people confronting people who honked their car horns and disrupted federal officers as they tried to detain a suspect in St. Paul.

“We are here to arrest a person who is sexually abusing a child, and you are honking your horn,” the agent says in the video.

“No, we’re the press,” someone off-camera replies. “We don’t honk our horns.”

The agent then points to a nearby vehicle.

“That car over there is honking its horn and obstructing our investigations while we’re trying to arrest a person who is sexually abusing children. You’re protecting him. He’s crazy.”

The video then cuts to the agent standing next to a vehicle in the snow and honking the horn repeatedly.

“Trust me, I understand,” the agent says to someone inside the car before honking the horn.

At another moment, the agent is seen talking to passengers in a different vehicle who question the legitimacy of the arrest and try to move him away.

At one point, a woman standing behind the agent’s vehicle can be heard waving the car forward and saying, “Go away. They’re lying. Don’t listen to them.”

On Sunday, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Deputy Secretary Tricia McLaughlin responded to the video about X, praising federal law enforcement for continuing their work despite growing resistance.

“God save men and women [ICE] And [Customs and Border Protection] Those who risk their lives to arrest these criminals,” McLaughlin wrote.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also weighed in, writing, “God bless ICE,” a message later republished by the official White House X account.

Elon Musk also reacted to the video by simply writing, “Crazy.”

The incident comes amid rising tensions between federal officials and agitators in the Twin Cities. Earlier this month, 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good was fatally shot by an ICE officer who allegedly blocked an immigration operation in the city and advanced toward police on Jan. 7.

Agitators in the Twin Cities stalked and harassed federal agents as they conducted operations; some threw snowballs at agents or screamed obscenities through megaphones from just a few feet away.

Some clashes resulted in immigration officers using pepper spray and tear gas.
