Independent journalist Nick Shirley and his investigator “David” returned to the Quality Learning Center in Minneapolis on Tuesday wearing a sweatshirt that read “1-800 FRAUD” following the release of his viral video alleging fraud at government-funded child care facilities in Minnesota.

David also told reporters on the site that he had filed criminal charges against Minnesota Governor Tim Walz regarding alleged widespread fraud.

In a post shared on X, Shirley and David are also seen standing outside the resort in matching sweatshirts during the visit.

“WE LEARN HERE AND STOP FRAUD,” Shirley captioned the post.

Both men’s T-shirts read “Quality ‘Learning’ Center”; it’s a typo that reflects the signage associated with the Minneapolis site at the center of the fraud allegations.

Shirley’s return visit came after the facility manager claimed her original video misrepresented the business by filming outside published hours and falsely suggested the center was inactive.

State officials and a daycare director on Monday denied allegations of fraud and disputed claims that the daycare was closed or that taxpayer funds were improperly collected.

The Center for Quality Learning did not appear to be active during the filming of Shirley, despite receiving child care assistance money from the state.

Rep. Mike Lawler, R-Y., Donald Trump Jr. Shirley’s video sparked widespread interest online, with officials like Elon Musk and Elon Musk praising her reporting, while others, including Walz, disagreed.

Walz was already facing criticism over the scandal, which involved losses of at least $1 billion due to alleged social services fraud mostly tied to the Somali community in Minneapolis.
