Vishwambhara Set to Take Audiences on a Grand Socio-Fantasy Adventure?

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara is creating a huge buzz in Tollywood. Directed by Mallidi Vassishta and produced by UV Creations, the film is reportedly shot on a massive budget of more than Rs 200 crore.
According to reports doing the rounds on entertainment portals, the story revolves around an ordinary man whose life takes an extraordinary turn. In a dramatic twist, the hero embarks on a daring journey from Earth to heaven to save his wife. As he rides a winged horse into the celestial realm, he confronts divine forces and powerful hostile energies in a battle that forms the center of the narrative.
Actress Trisha plays Chiranjeevi’s wife in the film. His character is said to resemble a celestial being or an apsara from the celestial world, and the main conflict reportedly revolves around his plight. Sources suggest that the film does not explore themes of reincarnation, but instead comes off as a pure fantasy adventure.
Spectacular scenes featuring spectacular visual effects, divine weapons and large-scale action scenes are expected to attract great attention. The recently released teaser, which shows a winged horse and stunning skyscapes, has further fueled expectations.
In the climax, the hero reportedly saves his wife and returns to Earth with a mysterious 10-year-old boy. The secret behind the child’s birth and the emotional undercurrents surrounding the family are said to add depth to the narrative.
Although an official announcement is awaited, the makers are reportedly expecting a major release in June or July 2026. Blending mythology-inspired elements, over-the-top visuals and emotional drama, Vishwambhara marks another ambitious venture in the socio-fantasy genre, reminiscent of Chiranjeevi’s earlier acclaimed film Anji.
It remains to be seen whether Vishwambhara will carve out a special place in Tollywood.
