Voting begins at 15 booths of two Assembly seats after ECI orders repoll in West Bengal

Voting began on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in 15 polling stations in two Assembly constituencies in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district, where the Election Commission had ordered re-polling a day earlier following reports of election malpractices, an official said.
The re-votes were held at 11 polling stations and four polling stations in the Magrahat Paschim Assembly constituency. Diamond Port. The official said voting started at 7 a.m. and will continue until 6 p.m.
