Wild moment shirtless man repeatedly rams police car in Mornington

Dramatic footage captured the moment a shirtless man fled a driveway after allegedly crashing into a police car multiple times in Melbourne’s south-east.

Police were called to a union complex in Fleet St, Mornington, at around 7.40pm on Friday after reports of a suspicious person hanging around the house.

An allegedly stolen black Toyota Land Cruiser ute was located in the driveway at the rear of the property.

Footage obtained by 7News shows a police car in the driveway hitting the cop car several times in an attempt to escape, before the black car drives forward.

The ute and police car were severely damaged and stuck in the driveway.

Dramatic footage captured the moment a shirtless man fled a driveway after allegedly crashing into a police car multiple times in Melbourne’s south-east.

The driver, wearing nothing but shorts and socks, exited the vehicle and headed towards Fleet St. He fled on foot.

As the incident developed, two male police officers had to protect themselves from vehicles.

Both were left with minor injuries requiring medical treatment the next day.

An investigation has been launched to find the alleged criminal.
