WA fuel crisis: Police searching for man driving Kia truck after theft of gallons of diesel in Baldivis

Police are continuing to investigate after an eye-watering quantity of diesel was stolen from a servo at Baldivis last month at the height of Western Australia’s fuel crisis.
As fuel prices finally dropped, with diesel selling for $3.19 a liter in Baldivis on April 10, an unidentified man took the opportunity to fill a plastic bulk liquid container and five 44-gallon drums.
Police said the theft took place around 6.30pm from BP Baldivis, northbound.
Baldivis police alleged that the man was driving a small white single-cab Kia light truck with fake number plates.
The truck has a silver bull bar, a white toolbox mounted on its left side, and pipe frame around the tray.
Anyone with information about the identity of the driver or truck should contact Crime Stoppers at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by calling 1800 333 000.
