LG Unveils AI Model in Quickening Global Race

The LG Group offers a new version of the flagship artificial intelligence model and bills it as South Korea’s first hybrid experienced AI system.

LG AI Research announced that Exaone 4.0 was released on Tuesday. According to a statement from LG Corp., a large model combines with an artificial intelligence engine that can produce and test hypothesis.

With Exaone 4.0, LG participates in global technology companies such as Antropic and Alibaba Group, which introduces reasoning models such as Claude 3.7 and Qwen3 respectively. Openai CEO Sam Altman, in April, the company plans to release the GPT-5 within a few months, he said.

Founded in 2020, the LG AI Research focused on productive AI application for industrial use in the real world, and in 2021, the first model Exaone 1.0 released. On July 22, he plans to exhibit Exaone 4.0 in Seoul.
