Two members of a Kerala family killed in Saudi road crash

Two members of a Kerala family died and four others were injured in a road accident in Saudi Arabia on Sunday night.

The deceased are Thekkepeediyakkal Abdul Latheef’s wife Rahana and their daughter Nehala, both from Rangattur near Kuttippuram in the district.

The accident occurred on the express highway from Taif to Riyadh, near Dhalm, about 200 kilometers from Riyadh, as the family was returning to Qatar after performing Umrah in Mecca.

Latheef, his other two daughters and his grandson were injured and taken to the hospital.

The family, who has been a resident of Qatar for a long time, had traveled by road from Qatar to Mecca for the pilgrimage.
