Warriors clinch dominant victory over scratchy Tigers

The Tigers’ bad night is made worse by Bunty Afoa being awarded a penalty for being offside on the kick-off, and most in attendance have all but ignored it after a rather one-sided second half.

The home side have their last chance to go forward after the Warriors give away their own penalty and it looks like they might just do it when Jarome Luai cuts through a gap in midfield, charging into the left corner past full-back Taine Tuaupiki and being dragged down by the pursuing Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad.

A late raid for the Tigers gives them a chance to score but Adam Doueihi’s pass is blocked by Jacob Laban.

It’s a comfortable victory for the Warriors, who remain in the top two in the NRL after 19 rounds.
