Was Donald Trump really rushed to Walter Reed Hospital? Here’s what to know

Was Donald Trump really taken to Walter Reed National Medical Military Center?

A random check of Elon Musk’s X social media platform on Saturday might suggest that this is the case, but so far no evidence has been found to support the rumors.

In fact, as the allegations intensified on social media, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung shared a post on X that offered a different explanation of Trump’s whereabouts.

“There has never been a President who has worked harder for the American people than President Trump,” Cheung wrote around 3 p.m. “He’s been working nonstop in the White House and Oval Office this Easter weekend.

“God bless him.”

The White House’s X account reshared the post.

Trump is also active on Truth Social.

“Remember I gave Iran ten days to make a deal or OPEN THE HORUZ STRAITS,” he wrote Saturday morning. “Time is running out – 48 hours before Hell takes over. Thank God! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

Later in the day he wrote: “If you import the Third World, you become the Third World!” – AND THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN TO THE UNITED STATES AS LONG AS I AM PRESIDENT. PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP.”

It certainly doesn’t look like Trump was hospitalized.

So how did the rumors start?

This appears to be due to a combination of things, including alleged road closures around the hospital.

Additionally, the White House placed a limit on media access just before noon. Apparently people took the two, mixed them up, and spread rumors that “Walter Reed” was trending on X.

And these rumors appear to have been debunked by White House correspondent Hugo Lowell.

Lowell, “Trump is in Washington this weekend, but we have not yet had a formal briefing on the situation regarding the missing airman in Iran.”

“Trump was in the White House today, as evidenced by the presence of a sailor outside the West Wing,” Lowell added. “There was no travel to Trump National or the golf course at Walter Reed.”
